Not much progress, 29 Oct 2008
There are three fundamental problems with this game:
(i) The frame rate is abysmal, which is ironic considering the graphics are decent but nothing special. Compared to Gran Turismo Prologue, it is very poor. This also makes using the 3-click system very frustrating.
(ii) There is nothing radically different from Tiger Woods 2008. If you can play 2008 well, you will instantly be good at this game.
(iii) In general terms, the game is far too easy. You can hit the ball much too far. You can make ridiculous scores, even with the putting assistance turned off. When you play online, it is just not much fun because everyone whacks the ball 400 yards off the tee, and most of the clubs are obsolete most of the time.
It's quite an enjoyable knockabout game to play with friends, but as a one player game, it's dull and far too easy.
So real, 23 Oct 2008
I just got the game today. Must say its loads better than the TW 07 which I've played for months. Just a couple of issues: both games stick or hang for a second one some tee shots, which spoils the illusion.
The other issue is, I cant find the auto-save function, despite following the manual. Oh well, great game, amazing graphics, all the same.
Real Suprise for non-golf Fan, 20 Oct 2008
My friend got this game... I said yeah I'll play. Thought it would last 5 minutes then back to something else...
What a suprise. We play it every night now, one on one. One or two things need changing- eg no playoff on 2 player if you draw a match- but generally this is excellent.
decent trees at last, 07 Oct 2008
i like tiger woods 09.for me this is the best one yet,the trees look half decent finally and the water looks great also.the rest of the graphics are good but not as good as the ps3 can do but maybe that's because ea are lazy or it's a cross platform game who knows.
the main thing is it's fun in career mode, online or with others and the way your stats go up and up as you get better but go down a bit if you have a bad game i like a lot.
for all the things they could have done i still love the game, next time would be good if they added some extra stuff like your own golf house, golf carts that you can race against your mates and crank up the graphics a bit and i will be well chuffed,as it is i give it 8/10.
This is becoming a joke...I give up., 05 Oct 2008
Ok this is going to sound harsh but it needs to be said.
This years tiger is a step too far.
After changing developers after the pretty good 07 version this game has become a glitch laden, bug ridden programme.
Last years game was really awful,as the new team seemed to be adding their touches to the game engine.
However instead of building on the good framework of the 07 version they have turned this into a mess.
This is the team responsible for the dire outlaw golf series and its obvious they haven't learned a great deal since those games.
So without being too critical these are the good and bad points about this years game.
Good points are......
Wentworth course.
Some nice clothes to dress your golfer in.
........Ok now i'm struggling.
Bad things are....
Horrible slowdown which not only looks bad it affects the gameplay as well, use the 3 click swing and you will see what i mean,it judders so much that at times its impossible to use.
Poor a.i which makes the game too,easy..until it decides to cheat you.
Graphics are poor, everything looks fake and cartoony and this year the golfers especially are awful,Paul casey looks like lee westwood and John daly is so poor it's laughable
The models were pretty good in 07,not perfect but really not too shabby,so why change to something that's worse.
Club tuner is a complete waste of time, just hit the ball staight!
Performance coach is another worthless addition with drills that become very tedious, this also suffers from poor programming as you can really do well in game but your skills will still drop.
Commentary has at last been changed this year, but they say the same thing from the same script that was written years ago.
So once again this is another missed opportunity, why bother changing the announcers if your not going to change the script.
However the worst thing i came across while playing was i was up against john daly, who hit his ball into the water, you heard it splash and sam torrence said its in the water, but on his next shot he was on the green and he won the hole in 4,the a.i failing to even realise he had hit it in the water.....Rubbish!
It really isn't good enough, and yet every year they expect you to pay ££££s for the game.
In all honesty i feel the only way this franchise will ever improve is to start afresh with a brand new engine, and also drop the poor development team as well.
I would glady wait 2 years for a good solid version with great gameplay than play this rubbish year in year out.
It's really sad because ive played these since the megadrive days, but i very much doubt i will ever buy again.

HAVE TO BE MADDEN TO GET IT, 22 Oct 2008
UNBLEIEVABLY GOOD. GO AND GET IT NOW. Youll be amazed at how much better it is than last one (which was incredible too). Definately worth getting and especially because Tiger Woods is no better than Tiger 2006. Youve seen how much EA sports have closed the gap on pro evolution soccer and this is the year to get the lot.
but START WITH MADDEN
The best Madden for years, 26 Aug 2008
I must admit that although I am a huge fan of the Madden NFL series, over the past few years I haven't really noticed any differences, other than graphics and rosters, when I have purchased the new game each year, leaving me feel a little ripped-off for trading in last year's edition for less than a tenner to fork out £40 or more for the new one, but with Madden 09 it is completely worth it.
There are now so many more updates than previous years (as well as updated graphics and rosters) including the" My Skill" difficulty setting which assesses you while you play to give you a personalised difficulty, so when playing either on single player or online, it gives you opponents at a similar skill level as yourself. There is also the Virtual Training which is good for practicing plays and the better play help whilst in-game, which will break down the number of plays to the best ones to use for rookies and intermediates to the game. There is also a Fantasy Football league for real fans of the sport which is played online against the rest of the Madden community on EA. The Rewind feature is great if you are new to Madden games as you can rewind the last play you made if you did a mistake. This is good if you are practicing against a computer opponent but I strongly recommend turning this off if you are against a human player as it may cause all sorts of arguments! The Backtrack feature is probably my favourite as it shows you where you have gone wrong in the last play if you make a mistake and gives advice on what you should have done. I've been playing these games for about 15 years (since the Megadrive days) and I still am learning a lot of helpful tips thanks to this!
The graphics are probably the best I have seen in a sports game ever with so much detail in everything from the players, the stadiums, even the grass! The sound is good too with fluent commentary (which can become annoying at times) and the music is not bad.
Online play is very fluid with no lag that I've experienced yet. The servers seem full of other players (mainly Americans) so there is never a problem on setting up a new game.
Overall this is definitely the best sports game I have played for a long time and is extremely addictive once you get into it with plenty of game modes to get stuck into. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a decent sports game, whether you watch American Football or not.
Much improved over Madden 08, 15 Aug 2008
I have been playing the madden games from the start and if you have played any of the other years games you will feel right at home. The core game play is the same as the other years on Madden 09 but then that could be said of all the EA sports range, BUT there are a lot of changes over last years that make it a much better game, the frame rate is up over last years PS3 version, the game is very fast and the animations are excellent (only in the replays that you control does it slow sometimes) they have added a load of new animations and this cuts down on the ball Jumping into the hands of receivers, or leaving the kickers foot with a missed animation. The D line is better and the control that you have over linemen/backs and Offence players is excellent, maybe too much for an average player. The IQ test is ok but the running is far too easy in the test so it will set it at All Madden, its better to use the sliders to find a custom level. The stadiums and the grass look amazing and the weather is excellent, the players uniforms dirty as they play in the rain and mud which adds to the realism. I have noticed players pick up more injures during games which is good as well not major ones but ones that will keep them out for a few plays, meaning your back-ups matter more. The player Pictures, stats, Finance screens and the end of game screens are better as well. There are still a few problems with the IA like on punts the computer running out of bounds when they could cut up field and the occasional cheating by the computer on some plays exits but it's not enough to ruin the game. If you like madden then this is an improvement over last years, it's not a massive leap forward but they never are, but some of this years touches make this the best in a long time, you feel like your getting some real updates that improve the game for your money. One other sore point was the patch wasn't available over here when I received my game, so no Farve at the jets and Taylor is still at the fins amongst others, but I'm sure it will be out soon if it isn't already. See you online maybe?

i can't wait! i read that you can have a 60 year long franchise, i can't wait for the user controlled celebrations. i have pre-ordered the game so i hope i will get it on the day of release
Madden 09, 13 Aug 2008
CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS!!! gona be the best madden ever!! just hope they sort out the blocking, and defensive line, was awful in madden 08. Also hope theyve included mini camp in franchise mode!

RUBBISH, 24 Jul 2008
This is the worst game ever made, especially by fifa.I bought this with my PS3 and played for a few days and haven't played since.A waste of money DON'T BUY.
ONLY WORD !!STRANGE!!, 08 Jun 2008
THE ONLY THING FUN ABOUT THIS GAME IS THE CARTOON CHARACTER FOOTBALLERS(AT LEAST PETER CROUCH DIDN'T LOOK ANY DIFFERENT).WHAT IS THE TACKLING ABOUT ESPECIALLY THE SLIDE TACKLE,AWFULL.IM AFRAID AFTER THE OTHER FIFA GAMES THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST EVER.
The Worst Fifa Street Yet!, 13 May 2008
It scrapes two stars because it is quite fun, having discovered playing the demo, however the graphics are absolutely terrible, and what where they thinking making the players look like cartoon characters! They have just basically taken the mick out of football players, particulalry Rooney and Ronaldinho who are presented as ugly and goofy! My advice to them is use the technology to make improvements to the other 2 games, not make it ten times worse, a real letdown for me, and i would advise fans of the other 2 games not to buy this one.
Fun and Different, 12 Mar 2008
Why people always resist anything different The cartoon graphics actually looks amazing, FUN and colourfull which makes a difference, specially when you are board with the dark atmosphere of the recent combat ps3 games, arenas are variable which promoted me to play more, we purchase famous footballer's cartoon figures,we like them and we don't say anything about them i personaly liked the resemblace between these figures and the footballes in this game also found it fun to have extra capabilities than the more "realistic" football games this is quite appealing to all age groups and you don't need to be an expert to play it after all we are all playing for fun.
Most awful Fifa Street Yet, 07 Mar 2008
So I bought the full game, and I have to say this is the 2nd most boring game I have played on the PS3. They've taken away a load of features that make this game good... they didn;t take any advantage of the ps3 graphic capabilities!
This game is terrible. Buy fifa 08, you can do some of the tricks, have a good game and not spend the whole game using the incredibly 'complicated' control system... what's that... shoot, tackle, trick and pass? Is that it? Damn right it is.
Seriously, I'd rather play Genji than this!!
Probably the biggest waste of money this year.
Invest in COD4, Fifa 08, PES, burnout and EA Fight Night Round 3. Much better.
WORST GAME THIS YEAR

Product Description
FIFA 08 heralds the latest football season in "Next Gen" gaming! This game has a new graphics engine that was designed to do justice to the power of the PS3.The developers at EA Sports have come up with an ever-more realistic football simulation game with FIFA 08. Players will have to take on the qualities of their physical counterparts in order to win the cup. This 2008 version has loads of innovations, including a new shoooting system and intuitive game play. It has an impressive database containing no less than 620 teams, 30 championships and over 15,000 licensed players. Shoot to score with FIFA 08! The greatest battle of the new football season is not between any real world club but between the virtual giants of FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer. Konami's game has always been the favourite but last year FIFA closed the gap to such a degree that the title race has never been closer. This year's FIFA uses a completely new game engine, for the first time built specifically for the next gen consoles. But improved graphics and animation are only the half of it, with just as much focus going on the artificial intelligence thanks to the new "35 point decision engine". What this basically means is that every player on the pitch is fully aware of those around him and constantly thinking about tactics and position when not under your control. Other changes include better modelled physics for taking a shot on goal, which take into account everything from air pressure to the angle of your foot. You're also able to create your own special moves to replicate every possible trick from real life. There are also new game modes including Be A Pro which challenges you to play the role of a single player through a whole season or career. On top of this there are revamped online leagues to play a virtual season in the Premier League, Bundesliga, French League or Mexican 1st Division against real opponents. With 620 licensed teams, 30 offline leagues and 15,000 players as well FIFA might just have made enough new signings this year to put it over the top. Harrison Dent

See you online maybe?
madden 09, 14 Aug 2008
i can't wait! i read that you can have a 60 year long franchise, i can't wait for the user controlled celebrations. i have pre-ordered the game so i hope i will get it on the day of release
WORST GAME THIS YEAR
Good Football Game, 14 Sep 2008
This is by far the best football game I have ever played. The gameplay is good because if you get a good team that work together well you can score loads of goals. The only bad things are that the keepers are very inconsintent and sometimes you make a firm but fare challenge and you get a yellow card for it.
Gameplay-very good
stadium atmosphere-good
game modes-pretty good
Overall it is a very good football game.
Fifa 06 with better graphics, 18 Aug 2008
A good game but it really is like fifa 06 with better graphics. No create a team, and most irritatingly, every save is called career 1, 2 etc. which makes it very difficult to find one if you have lots of saves. No practice either. The arena is a good idea but training allows you to have practice matches whereas arena is a player against a keeper. there are plusses. graphics 9/10. realism 9/10. having real boots like addidas, puma, umbro etc rather than just ea 1 2 3etc. a good game but lacks some crucial elements. 3 and a 1/2 stars.
Same old FIFA, 29 Jul 2008
FIFA 08 makes it first trip on the PS3. Does it dissapoint, well we'll see.
First, FIFA 08 bring the new be a pro mode which allows you to control 1 player on the pitch and get match ratings and advice. The camera angles is good but it gets frustating when you don't have the ball though. Another dissapointment is the Arena Mode. There is no way to really perfect your free kick technique because in the Arena Mode, free kick practice involves no wall. Also, in a match while taking a close up free kick the keeper stays more on the side where the wall isn't. This is silly because it's hard to get the ball over the wall and under the post and the keeper almost always saves it if you put it on the other side. The power bar doesn't feel right to me either. Maybe, I'm used to Pro but on close up free kicks, if u tap circle it will hit the wall, if you hold it, it will go over the bar.
The last fifa I played before this was fifa 06 and I think fifa 08 is much worse for the time Ea have had to fix its flaws. First, the keepers are terrible. Their positioning is awful and a lot of the time they get lobbed at corners. Also, their reflexes are almost zero. Say I was to head the ball onto the post, the keeper will dive 2 seconds after it hit the post which is so stupid. In addition goalkeepers almost always concede when a winger runs down the flank and passes it to the striker on the floor who always scores. This is so unrealistic. The keeper never savers which is pretty darn stupid. Also, during goal kicks or free kicks when you want to pass to a player the opponent can move and intercept and it diesturbs why a team mate would want to pass to the opposition It is also impossible to score headers against the computer yet the computer scores at ease from headers and they always seems to have 85% passing.
Passing is also flawed too. Say you want to pass to a player ahead first time. Half the time the player will take a touch so the opportunity to pass is gone. Also, when you are trying to go for an X button tackle, your player seems to pass the ball to nobody. Passing to your own players can be a chore. Especially in advanced attacking positions you pass to a player. Then you want to control the player who is going to receive the ball to run towards the ball. But when you do so, the player runs away and it feels as if I don't have full control of my players. Henry's left foot can score some spectacular goals with the CPU but with me, the keeper easily saves. The game also seems to have pre-determined matches. When I play against Barcelona on world class, I have never won. Once, I was Man United and it was 1-1 during extra time. Eto'o as through on goal in the 119th minute but I fouled him with Evra who was sent off. Ronaldinho then scored the most immaculate free kicks which gives the impression that had i let Eto'o through he would've scored anyway and that I was delaying the inevitable. So games in FIFA 08 are pre-determined quite alot of the time like professional wrestling.
One final thing is penalties which are god damn awful. The keepers can move fully from left to right. This annoys me alot online. For example say you power up a penalty, it takes a second to take the shot. when the power is done the player online can move to one side. When you have decided shot power you can't change the direction. The other player online can move to one side after shot power has been done and you can't change where the ball is going to go so alot of the time penalties are saved. This does not reflect real life because if the keeper moves to one side at any point before the shot is taken the penalty kick taker can change where the shot is going. Not in FIFA. So penalty shootouts boil down to luck and cheats rather than pure skill.
I know all my comments so far on FIFA has been negative but there are some good points. It's got all the licenses in a football games which gives the game authenticity. One thing it has over Pro is that you can't easily race through defences with fast players so it's quite realistic in that sense. However, some player are gods for example Cristiano Ronaldo is so fast and ferdinand, vidic and terry are defending gods. Evra is almost unbeatable at left back but bar those exceptions no-one is god in the game.
FIFA 08 is an Ok game but 06 was better for its time. 08 has just better graphics and reviewers have been blinded by Ea's big name in industry.
As for the Pes vs FIFA argument, Pes is better despite its disastrous showing on PS3. People are saying this game is getting better, but it's still the same slow, unresponsive playing FIFA you've been playing for years. Not going to buy FIFA again unti I see change. 09 is supposed to be better, but didn't they say the same for 08?
Awful...., 13 Jul 2008
I've had this game for ages now but i guess ive been putting off writing a review 1) because im too lazy and 2) ive been trying to find some good things about the game.....there are few.....
The graphics are actually pretty good but i guess its what we come to expect from the Fifa series. But whats the point in awesome graphics when the gameplay is TERRIBLE!?
Hmmm where to begin?...
Well the reffereeing is a disgrace to football. Last time i checked (being a referee myself) football was a contact sport. Every match you'll see countless freekicks given against you for simply being near an opponent while they are dribbling. Even if you get the ball first when tackling the opposition always gets the foul and normally in a dangerous area which they will more than likely score from.
This leads me on to my next point. Goalies...
Trust me, your gonna want to learn to defend as your goalkeeper is a...liability at best. He will always seem to be out of position, especially on freekicks, and have the reactions of a corpse. On the other hand, the computers keeper must have 199 reaction rating and 199 diving rating as every shot you take, no matter how good it is, from outside the box seems to be easy for him. You'll find yourself scoring the same type of goal over and over and over again.
Ok time to wizz through the bad points now.
Computer seems to be that extra foot above you when heading. When the cpu is taking you on, it'll simply turn 180 degrees multiple times till he sees his opportunity to get passed you (or gets a broken leg after a tackle from behind). The through ball system is...flawed at best, it will always go too far in front or to the side of the striker when trying to slide him in on goal so dont bother trying. Eveyone on online mode plays as Man Utd or Barcelona, i know there are a lot of glory supporters out there but come on, its just sad. So dont even think about playing as a normal team. Andy Gray is annoying with quotes like "If you dont hit the target, you're never gonna score"...
Ok enough whining, lets look at the good points.
Graphics as said before are great
Real teams and lots of em
Ditto that for players
Proper season system gives a nice break from the whole PES masters league thing
And thats about it
Hopefully EA actually go and watch a football match before releasing the next Fifa ro else i might actually go back to being a PESy!
yet again FIFA doesn't deliver, 12 Jul 2008
every year there is so much hype regarding FIFA but it has always been overshadowed by the PES series. whilst Pro Evolution is not great this year in my opinion it is still better than FIFA.
the number of things wrong with this years FIFA is unbelievable. where to start!
the only positives i can say are that gameplay is greatly improved and the new online system offers a totally new aspect to the game.
graphics are good compared to PES from a distant but up close the player's details are comparable to playstation 1 football games.
playing against the computer is so unrealistic after playing one premier league season i never played against the computer. No computer controlled teams play differently, i beat Chelsea and Liverpool in the season but Derby county were able to beat me easily 3-0!
the computer has only one way of going past you - going round in a circle! it is so aggravating and you can't dispossess them when they do this. also the computer will never attack your defence by running at them they will always pass the ball. in one instant the forward was at the edge of my box and passed it back to the centre circle - ridicolous!
whilst the online system is a good idea yet again EA and FIFA have messed it up. online games rely so much on luck - you can dominate a match and a player gets a lucky deflection or your team won't change player properly and the other team is through.
I WON'T EVEN SAY ANYTHING ABOUT SHOOTING - IT IS SOOO UNREALISTIC!
believe me if you are a football fan, you will be bitterly disapointed with this game - hopefully the new season's game will be a big improvement or we'll be in for more disapointment.
In the past, i would have compared PES series to FIFA by say Manchester United V Liverpool. MU are always a step ahead and LUFC trying to play catch up all the time.
Now i would say both series are comparable to a match between Middlesbrough and Newcastle - boring and dull
COME ON EA AND KONAMI - RAISE YOUR GAME AND MAKE A TRULY GREAT FOOTBALL GAME

Product Description
While Electronic Arts' other sports games may be locked in a deadly rivalry with their competitors there really hasn't been a golf sim to go head-to-head with Tiger Woods for years. There doesn't seem to be too much laurel sitting going on though, especially since this is, like many Electronic Arts games this year, the first time the game has been designed specifically with the next generation of consoles in mind. Naturally that means the most realistic graphics yet, not only for the course itself but also for Tiger and the other real-world golfers. Their faces and expressions look totally life-like and on the PS3 and 360 you can use a webcam or digital camera to import your own face and graft it to your own in-game custom golfer. In terms of gameplay the major new feature is the concept of "shot confidence" which monitors your performance through your whole career, adding an extra degree of tension to difficult shots but also allowing you to examine your game in detail to find out where you're going right and wrong. After criticisms that last year's game was a bit thin on options this new game has the greatest number of courses ever including Westchester Country Club, TPC Boston, Cog Hill and East Lake. There's also the expanded GamerNet mode which acts like a sort of YouTube just for the game, allowing you post in-game videos and challenge other people to a game in an online world dedicated to nothing but golf. See you online maybe?
madden 09, 14 Aug 2008
i can't wait! i read that you can have a 60 year long franchise, i can't wait for the user controlled celebrations. i have pre-ordered the game so i hope i will get it on the day of release
WORST GAME THIS YEAR
Good Football Game, 14 Sep 2008
Let down, 07 Oct 2008
I was so looking forward to playing this game but what a let down it is.For a start the action is very jerky and the controls using the stick are very sensetive. The only thing that it has going for it is more golfers and more courses. But quality is squashed by quantity. If they had added half of the golfers and courses and put a bit more into gameplay then it could have been a cracker.I own woods 06 on the 360 and it knocks this version out of the park.Only a few golfers to select and not many courses but i will still be playing it long after i have thrown away woods 08 on ps3.One last gripe i have with the game and it does actually apply to the whole range of tiger woods golf games not just this one. When i pay a lot of money for a game i do not expect to be able to play a small version of it.I do not want to unlock courses and golfers the better i get at the game.I want these options available from the start. That is not because i am no good at the game it is just that i dont see why after paying so much money you should only get a small portion of the game and then have to waste your time unlocking the rest.
Fun challenge but not all that it could be!, 23 Feb 2008
My title sums this up mostly. The game itself, which is the main thing to go on, is very good indeed. Some people have complained it is too difficult or that some swing mechanics are not quite right, but this is a simple practice issue and after you sit down for a few rounds and work out what not to do and what you need to change to get differing effects then you should be better equipped for the challenge. This is a good thing, too many people want to pick this up with a one button swing to be able to hit 350yd drives straight down the middle of the fairway, but I prefer the fact that at first you suck (oh and I did) but with practice you get better and this is itself is a nice feature, that all your hard work pays off and you find yourself actually getting immense satisfaction when you birdie that hole to get a share of the lead.
Now on to my gripes....and there are only a few but they are quite major flaws in an otherwise great game. The graphics are very sloppy and just stink of a rushed through job to get yet another yearly output of an EA game with very little improvement. Sure for team games this is great as you get the latest rosters, the latest rule changes, a slight improvement on the controls...whatever. For golf there is no need to rush these things through other than for pure greed. There is no new names every year that will be appearing in a game version, there are only so many things that you can actually change about how to get someone to virtually swing a golf club, and to be honest there have been no real innovations other than the analogue stick swing feature since the early 90's golf classics like Links etc... So why the bad news?? The graphics are very PS2 and I constantly find myself looking at the textures and models in things like Resistance Fall of Man and Assassins Creed and wondering why i'm stuck looking at a golf course which has perfect cylindrical trees that shine, 2D planes of crappy looking textures pretending to be leaves, and water that looks far too much like glass. I look at other games and think they have managed perfect looking trees and leaves which move in the breeze so why not this one??? It certainly feels like they have not actually put any more effort into the next-gen games and you get the distinct feeling that they have made a generic version to port across all platforms and just added a few extra texture maps for the high-rez games.
The players themselves are quite good (although Wayne Rooney looks like he has been on a bit of a crash diet for the game) and I realise the swings must be extremely difficult to model well but that is no excuse for the lack of variability.
The game face feature is very impressive though. After taking two decent photos of myself, struggling to upload them to the EA server, then waiting what seemed like 30minutes for the processing to take place I was presented with something that looked fairly good, but after a little play in the customisation options i've been left with a very good attempt at myself in the game, to the extent that people comment that it actually looks like me. The only disappointment is that the voices are only American accents, which is a little dissappointing considering the various nationalities contained in the game itself, let lone the marketing of this around the world...just one more area of sloppy design that has convinced me to refuse to buy any more EA games until they prove they are willign to put some actual effort into the development process rather than just churn out the constant revamps of the same game year after year.....Good fun game but could have been so much better if they had tried a bit harder!
VERy HARD, 12 Jan 2008
Firsty this is the first tiger woods PGA tour i have played on.
The good thing about this is the graphics are fantastic if u play through HD cable tiger woods and the other golfers look 100% like each other, plus when the fans get hit they react which is really good coss it dosent look good if a fan gets hit in head and stand still like nothing's happened. Plus the gameplay is excellent.
However when i go on play now i find it quite easy but when you are on career mode it is very difficuilt one bad shot and u end up 3 over par for that hole how are you going to win tournaments if u have a round 90 all the time and it also takes so long to build up you have got to the play the game a month or two to even get to a pro level
But overall its a very good game just the difficuilty is a bit too much for me that is why i only give it a 4 star game
Career Mode, 03 Jan 2008
Disappointed with career mode. On previous versions I had for ps2 you could play tournaments with more than one player. Now it seems only one player can do this now.
Also the analagoue swing is very sensitive.
Tiger woods 08 a long time to get into but when you do it is easy, 31 Dec 2007
I aint no whizz kid on any game to be honest. But this games takes time and when you start winning; it gets easy.
It takes around 40 minutes to do 18 holes when you start and will last about 30 when you get good.
I have been playing it non stop for about a month.
It took me ages to get my skills up. A tip would be to play tiger challenge where you play against other celebrities such as wayne rooney.
This is the easiest way to get your skills up. It took me about 3 weeks to work that out
I couldnt win anything to start but my current skill is LEGEND and about 100 points on all of the individual skills.
I just did a round and was 13 under par.
It depends what type of gamer you are, this suits me its quite relaxing and it can be quite boring takin 40 minutes a round.
I would recommend it cause it is quite relaxing no loud music no loud special FX
OH yes I have finished 60% of the game and all of the tiger challenges.
SO anyone can play this game
