i was very excited when my cousin gave it to me a couple of years ago, however i was extremely disapointed at the game overall because i loved the film. i still havent managed to get past level 2, the game dosent even follow the plot of the film and the graphics are poor. so simply leave the game in the warehoue and i dont recommend it!!

My brother recently purchased this game for the Gameboy Advance as him & my little sister are fans of the cartoon. The game itself picks up from where the cartoon finishes & this may be cool for some people who like the cartoon although I wasn't much impressed. Rated at a PG the game itself is a bit difficult when you get into it however I managed to complete it within about 5 hours which is hardly worth buying if you want a longer-lasting game. I would probably recommend the Playstation 2 version of the game as it has better graphics & lasts longer that of a handheld. For parents alike that may want to buy this for their kids then go ahead, it would raise a smile but expect to lend a helping-hand when the game gets a bit puzzling. The style is.. well to expect from a GBA game a bit 2D like Pokemon (you would get more fun from that I tell you). It also takes alot of logical thinking to solve puzzles & is easy to get lost. Bosses can be a bit tricky if you don't realise what to do. Overall the game's OK but after you complete it, I doubt you'll ever play it again. It's worth taking a look (however more for the young generation).

One of the best written Final Fantasy games, 17 May 2007
I really enjoyed the SNES version of Final Fantasy V because it had the most humour of any Final Fantasy game I had played and a lot of mini plot twists along the way that kept me hooked. I particularly like the imagination in it - things like a boat that can move without wind because it's powered by a dragon!
There are the standard Final Fantasy turn-based battles and villages to visit but what makes it stand out is the writing of the characters you meet in these villages, there are some great little jokes and cute touches.
One thing I like about this GBA version is that it does have slightly improved graphics and new dungeons and character classes etc. but they haven't changed the essential feel of the SNES game so it's not so much a remake (as, for example the Nintendo DS Final Fantasy III) and is more like a rerelease. As an insight into gaming history as well as a merry little RPG in its own right, Final Fantasy V on the GBA is well worth taking a look at. If you're not already an RPG fan then - usual disclaimer - you probably won't like this. (Start with something else.)

Absolutly class! i love scooby and this game is also somthing to make me love scooby more, i dont know what other people think but personally i love this game!
Absolutely terrible, 16 Aug 2003
Poor, pointless amnd enough to put any child off using their Gameboy for months
Scooby Doo and the Cyber Chase, 12 Nov 2001
As a Scooby lover I had been looking forward to this game for some time. But it was with disappointment that I first played it. First of all, I thought that writing down passwords would be long gone now with the new GBA games. Not with Scooby! The graphics are not very good either. And the adventure was really, really short. With only 7 levels I was done in just a couple of hours. I thought I was getting "a full game" like Rayman or Pinobee or any other like those, that takes some time to finish. No, the game developer have definitely given Scooby and the gang a bad name. Don't buy this one unless it's for a 3 year old!

To start with, the graphics of this game are good, sometimes they are a bit poor in places but the gameplay & game sounds are perfect. The Gameplay is very fast and you start off the game by being the chaser, as you progress through the game you start unlocking special abilities and you eventually become a beater etc etc.... When you jump into the game you are given the chance to choose the house you wish to play as. The more houses you play as, the more cards you get. Of course getting those little cards helps improve your chances of unlocking the best stuff Buy it!!!! A very fun game, the only problem I had was loosing it on the train and now I need to buy another.

this game is alright with stunning teams from all over the country and you can be any hogwarts team its a good buy for young kids.

When i bought this game, i was expecting a bit too much. I thought i was purchasing a fast, good graphic, wide range of moves, decent roster to choose from on the move wrestling game. SADLY, this game is none of these. Take my advice, stick to ps2 versions and keep clear of another poor effort at producing a wrestling game for a handheld.
Best GBA Wrsetling game yet!, 14 Feb 2005
This is a pretty good game, the roster is a little short though and the season mod eis repeatative. This is a game which every wrestling fan who owns a gba should have, it has realy improved on " WWF Road to Wrestlemania X8" especialy where the finishing moves are concerned. If you own a GBA and are a true wrestling fan buy this game and have a laugh!
Entertaining game, 30 Jan 2005
WWE Survivor Series for GameBoy Advance surprised me and is a quite a good game. A non Wrestling Fan probably wouldn`t enjoy this game as it is not as fast as the Smackdown games for Playstation 2 and Raw for the Xbox but is still a thoroughly enjoyable game. The game includes your favourite superstars such as Triple H,Shawn Michaels,John Cena and The Undertaker. The gameplay is good and their is a vast selection of match types like Triple Threat and Cage matches. I rate this game 4/5 stars. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this game and you could too.
Waste of money, 27 Jan 2005
I bought this game and have played on it for about 10 minutes since I got it . The game has bad graphics and is slow. i would advise you not to buy this.
please dont get this game, 25 Jan 2005
I got this game and it is the worst wrestling ever ,this game is very boring All of the wrestling games on the gameboy on pretty bad. The bad things about this game is not enought wrestlers not enough moves very slow very boring This game is good for about 10 minutes Then it gets very boring . WWE surivivor series is a bad game and not worth the money you pay for it

Pretty good, 27 Mar 2005
..being a racing game, it has tracks. They are easy to follow. if you try to take a short cut you get slowed down so follow the tracks. I really like this game - its fun, sure its not mario kart but its a decent change and well worth the price.
Really quite painful..., 03 Mar 2005
I really cannot believe the masterminds behind Goldeneye N64, Perfect Dark and the Banjo/Kazooie series (that's Rare for those completely oblivious to the gaming world) have made this. It's tripe. And that's the only word I can probably get away with using. You fly in crudely sprited planes across some of the ropiest courses in gaming history. Each track appears to be named after something you would visit the doctor for (Grunty's Valley, Clanker's River). With a plane, you would expect to be able to fly anywhere. *Buzzer* Sorry, folks. Not possible here. You've got an invisible wall waiting to bounce you off course. Mud, ice, oil and the like will slow you down even though you're about six feet off the ground. This has nothing on Mario Kart: Super Circuit. Go for that instead. You can always tell how poor a game is when it's half-price less than a month after release.

Simply brilliant, 25 Aug 2008
For a gameboy game, this is simply fantastic, probably the best I've played! Similar to the playstation version, just transfered to GBA, so of course the graphics suffer, but they are still good for GBA. Simple to pick-up and play, but the later levels are challenging, so you get your money's worth!
I cannot recommend this enough, and the best bit is that you can get it now for a few quid! Buy it!
Slightly brilliant!, 07 Aug 2006
Hello my fellow game addicts,
This is a game that was very well organized, here,s my personal review:
Graphics:B+
Difficulty:8 out of ten
Sound:B-
Gameplay:A+
Car variety:5 out of 8
Car Handling:A+
So,
You should definetly buy this unless:
1.You already have a game console.
2.You don't really like racing.
3.You're planning on buying a console.
Overall:7 out of 10.
Tip:Always take every single detour(shortcut) you can see, you can save about a second on them!
Good for a gameboy advance, 19 Feb 2006
The first thing I would say is that they have done alright. It does not have brilliant graphics (which is what you'd expect from a gba game) but the different types of races you can do are great. The cops will chase you though it is fairly easy to get away from them. There are lots of great tracks to play on though. The car noises are slightly unrealistic but they still add to the overall gameplay. Overall I would say buy this: 1. If you like racing games. 2. If you don't already have a psp. and 3. If you would rather have it on a portable hand console.

(Start with something else.) Scooby, 22 Jan 2004

Extremly quick & fun game to play, 06 Dec 2003

Mediocre is the best word I can think of for this game. It is basically your bog-standard platform game. Nothing really special. There aren't enough levels and some of them are quite repetitive, but on the other hand there are some quite inventive levels and mini games. Some small bits are also quite inventive, like using Oompa Loompas to help you, which involves a bit of strategic thinking. The one thing that annoyed me was that you cannot save until you get to the end of the level, and some of the levels are quite long. There are no checkpoints so if you lose all your lives you have to go right back to beginning of the level, even if you were nearly at the end! This can be quite frustrating if there's a hard bit near the end of a level that you just can't get past! The game was fairly easy, but I am 18, so it probably should be! I would think a 10 year old would find it challenging enough but if you're any older I wouldn't bother.
To easy!!!, 13 Feb 2006
I think this is a rubbish game as it only has about 14 EASY lvs.I gave it a 3 out of 5 because it has some good mini games, but other wise i would give it a 1.I was really disappointed with this game and probly going to sell it!i DONT recomend it but i do recoment people to wait till Chibi-robo comes out and buy it.

This game is so cool! It has lots of different levels, which are fairly easy, and it tells you how to play the game as you go along. There's also stuff to collect on the way, and candy obstacles to avoid. You play as Charlie and try to stop the other children getting into mischeif! You also have to help the oompa loompas when the machines break down and stuff. I'd say the age recomendation for this game is 8 - 10 years, as some parts are fairly hard.

A Shining Force to be reckoned with!!, 23 Aug 2004
This game is fantastic. I almost decided not to get it when i heard some revies of it being a substandard remake or the like but i decided to take the plunge when i found it on special offer in a local shop. I have not regreted that decision since as this is a fantastic game. When i heard that it was similar to Advance Wars i was expecting a good game but with not real story (as i have not played the original shining force!!). Yet this was a fantastic experience. The game takes the usual fantasy role playing fare and puts a new spin on it. The battles are excellent and really seem to put you into the action as the tactician. The different character classes are different enough to make each character fun to use and also to make you seriously think about which characters to use. Also, many fantasy games simply have you take as many mighty sword-wielding barbarians as possible with a few powerful mages and simply plow your way through the enemy until they are all dead without even damaging your group of (over-)powerful characters. Yet this game makes you tactically advacne using fast and slow moving fighters, scouts, mages and (most importantly) healers. Your party would simply be destroyed if you make a headlong charge into the enemy. A lot of reviews on other websites say this game is not that good. Yet i think it is brilliant and would recommend it to anyone. Having a bit of fantasy role playing experience does help to keep you alive but this game is easily accessible even to the most recent convert to the way of the mage. The story really keeps you going and there are very few games that have stories to rival this. I would really reccommend getting it to anyone who has a gba. The game does have replay feature but i think its only downside is its shortness. This is not through lack of content (there is loads to do!!) but due to its lack of difficulty. In a lot of the battles your party always seems to be able to defeat the enemy with just a bit of planning. The harder difficulty in the replay mode should have been included from the start. But this is a minor problem and does not lessen an overwise enjoyable game.
One of the best ever, 21 Feb 2004
I could hardly believe it when I heard Shining Force was coming to the GBA.It was easily my favourite Megadrive game (along with Shining Force 2).I have heard from people in the know that some small alterations have been made to the battle system (I hope they havn't messed around too much) but early news sounds positive. After hearing this great news I have had to dig my faithful old Megadrive out of the loft and give SF another airing. When the GBA game is released you owe it to yourself to have a go at this great game.
Now Your Talkin!, 16 Feb 2004
Here goes. Shining Force was perhaps the best RPG game in the history of the gaming console. The atmosphere was incredible, the game was awesome. The small black cartridge provided me with what could almost be called a life force. Loved it. Since my Mega Drive got sold, I have been confined to a rom (I still have the cartridge). Now, I here the remake is coming to GBA. I assumed this was a straight port, but was I shocked when I read more. On a website/community called 'Shining Force Central', Moogie is the webmistress, and got sent a preview cart by Camelot. After reading her info posts, I am drooling at the mouth. I stronlgy intend to go and buy myself a Game Boy Advance with this game, and a refill of batteries, seen as I'll be playing the poor thing to death. The original games was a top down strat/RPG game. You started with your troops, the shining force. I wont reveal the story too heavily, but the troops join up in your hometown and you canr ecruit more as you wander round the planet. In battle, you have your troops, as I said, and you move them round in a turn based combat scenario. You can of course level up your troof, equip them up, use magic spells, egress out of the battle to explore the surrounding area. The characters are a strong area of Shining Force, with some rather unique characters. When you find Gong (if you find him) you will of course notice a small hamster called Yoghurt. He is a hopeless fighter, but I tried and I tried to finish out the final battle with him delivering the final blow. He got whipped everywhere. You feel compelled to play this game, the game is straight forward, and being honest the only non-linearities are the sidequests, levelling and recruiting extra members. And the side quests are few and far between. On the updated version, there are some quite large changes. The way you recruit your first members has been changed, so it is a lot more plausible. There is supposedly a card system, Music has changed for the better. Screenshots can not yet be released, but according to Moogie the portraits have changed, and some other stuff has differed aswell. Yoghurt now looks much cuter. The dialogue has been changed dramatically, now being more insightful and useful. The stroy is fundamentally the same, but there are enhancements. That is all for now, but when the day of release comes, I expect my game to be sitting on my doorstep

Yes, this is indeed the one from the mega drive and yes, every gba owner should buy this when it is released. It really should have come out a long time ago on the advance, I know i would have bought one sooner if it had. Quite simply this is one of my favorite RPGs of all time (bettered only by it's sequel,) topped not even by the likes of final fantasy 7. This could be because it is the only game i remember from so i get a little nostalgic; even so i still play it today and will definately be buying it when it comes out. The battle layout is similar to Advance Wars, with an overhead view of the battlefield, but rather than a group of tanks, you will have one archer (with a name and unique appearance and everything!) There are also fighting classes, Mages, Priests, Monks, and even birdmen and dragons. The wonderful thing about this game is the fact that you can explore towns and a world map in between battles, as opposed to the likes of advance wars and final fantasy tactics. You can buy weapons and items and chat with various people in the town, which all adds to the story and the entire role-play element of the game. Basically, it's lovely. buy it. buy it now. ....or.... when its out...

Product Description
In a nutshell: X-Men Legends expands into the whole of the Marvel universe with a game featuring more heroes, villains and superhero brawls than a hundred mighty Marvel crossovers. The lowdown: It was hardly the deepest action role-player around, but with X-Men Legends, developer Raven found the perfect balance for most comic book fans, between simple action and an expectedly convoluted storyline featuring as many characters as possible. This is basically the same game turned up to 11, as you initially take control of Captain America, Thor, Spider-Man and Wolverine in a battle against Dr Doom and his newfound allies. The graphics are perhaps not quite as detailed as they could be but the scope of the story and the variety of the settings more than makes up for it. Considering how much the game packs in there's few Marvel diehards that will be disappointed by this. Most exciting moment: Although the game works perfectly well on your own it's really at its best when playing with friends. Depending on the system, you get both online and four-player options, with each player controlling a hero. Many of the superpowers can be combined into a single special move making team work a must (until there's a fight over a health power-up anyway). Since you ask: Although all the obvious heroes are included as playable characters some of the more obscure unlockables include Black Panther, Daredevil, Nick Fury and Silver Surfer. There's also four exclusive characters for the PSP version (including Captain Marvel and Hawkeye) and more for the Xbox 360 such as Colossus and Moon Knight. The bottom line: The ultimate celebration of the Marvel universe in interactive form.-HARRISON DENT

pointless, repetitiouis, 08 Aug 2008
i was very excited when my cousin gave it to me a couple of years ago, however i was extremely disapointed at the game overall because i loved the film. i still havent managed to get past level 2, the game dosent even follow the plot of the film and the graphics are poor. so simply leave the game in the warehoue and i dont recommend it!! Avatar - The Legend Of Aang - GameBoy Advance, 21 Feb 2007
(Start with something else.) Scooby, 22 Jan 2004
Absolutly class! i love scooby and this game is also somthing to make me love scooby more, i dont know what other people think but personally i love this game! Absolutely terrible, 16 Aug 2003
Poor, pointless amnd enough to put any child off using their Gameboy for months Scooby Doo and the Cyber Chase, 12 Nov 2001
Extremly quick & fun game to play, 06 Dec 2003
