Cool! Fun and some decent songs., 26 Aug 2008
Wow! This is the best PS2 Game ever!
When I first played the game I was rubbish but now I have the postions memorised so I can play really well on Easy. The guitar is light and a reasonable size so it is easy to learn. The gameplay involves looking at the screen and pressing the right buttons, for example a green circle means you press the green button. So it's very basic.
The graphics are pretty good, 3D and fast. The clothes for the people are a bit wierd but I like them. I was expecting all the people to be male but to my pleasant surprise there are quite a few girls. I'm a girl and a lot of games aimed at boys that I buy have NO girls. This game is good for both genders. Yay!
The songs are mostly from the 60's and 70's but threre are a few up to date ones. A few. But, I like most of them after a bit. I tend to prefer songs from now. I love the Guitar Battles in Career mode. Especially Slash from Guns n Roses. Also against Tom Morello from Rage Against The Machine and Lou, who I think is a fictional person. After beating him you become "A Rock Legend" which is cool.
I've never tried Multiplayer because we don't have another guitar but it looks fun.
The only down side is the guitar costs loads. But once you've saved up for a year it's ok.
All in all it's a brilliant game so BUY IT! It's addictive, it's cool and in general, great. Get out there and play.

An Addictive Fun Game, 07 Aug 2008
A very addictive game and fun to play to.
good points
- A fun game
- Very addictive
- The controller looks cool
- When you do a song you can never do but do it it feels great
Bad points
- Sometimes some of the buttons are faulty. But it dosent trouble you too much. I reccomend looking after the controller.
-You have to work your way through you start out with only about 8 songs. I reccomend only going on practice and career.
I rated this 5 star because its a great game and the buttons only go faulty once youve had it for about 4 months if not they wont go faulty!
It rawks for the old and young alike, 02 Aug 2008
I first played this around my friends house, and i instantly became addicted, i have never been the musical type and have never actually achieved to play an instrument in any coherant manner.
And to say the first time i played this game i got kicked off in about 30 seconds.
But then i tried again, and i aced it. Once used to it is fun and addictive, and you don't have to be good at ANY instrument to make a killing with it.
It starts with a good choice of songs that builds up into a fantastic amount. And you can ignore all those people moan 'well i don't know any of the songs', i'm 17 and i knew basically all off them, i was even able to sing along to half of them during (much to the despair of everyone else).
But i decided the most fun you could have with it is with another person, so i ordered this second guitar...
Brand New 10 Fret Button PS2 / Playstation 2 / PSone / Rock Guitar for Guitar Hero / Heros I, II, III, 1, 2, 3
It just stepped up the game play by making me look really cool by sliding between frets, and thats what this game is about, showing off to other people.
It's also brilliant for the elder generation, as they do have some older classics on that appeal to them, and you'll soon have your 80 year old grandmother headbanging and jumping around with the guitar.
An excellent buy and i recommend it to EVERYONE.
Thanks for reading.

Product Description
LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures takes the fun and creative construction of LEGO and combines it with the wits, daring and non-stop action from the original cinematic adventures that enthralled audiences everywhere (Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade). With a unique tongue-in-cheek take on the original adventures, LEGO Indiana Jones follows Dr. Jones escapades through the jungles of South America to the mountaintops of India. Fans can build, battle and brawl their way through their favorite cinematic moments, from Indy's entanglements with snakes to his dashing boulder run. Of course, pop culture's most iconic archeologist will whip through all the classic moments with the help of a host of supporting characters including Marion Ravenwood and Short Round. Players can also mix and match the body parts of more than 60 playable characters to create new heroes just as they could in the best-selling LEGO Star Wars games.

The Ultimate Adventure, 26 Aug 2008
I have bought the previous LEGO games, so I kinda knew what to expect, but this game simply blew me away, this game is similar to the other LEGO games but at the same time it has a lot of new things, like cars, horses, bikes, and so, the levels are huge as usual. One thing that I really like about this game is the diversity of each level, there are not two equal levels. This is a game for all ages, dont be folled by the LEGO title, this game has lots o puzzles to be solved and other many things to unlock.
This is one of those games that everyone should have on their collection, definatly a pearl on PS2.
For True Explorers...., 29 Jul 2008
I didn't rush out to buy this on release as I didn't think the Indiana Jones trilogy would make such a good game as Lego Star Wars:The Original Trilogy (LSW:TOT). Curiosity got the better of me and I bought it (for my daughter of course!) and have been boshing away at it ever since!
It follows the identical format to LSW:TOT i.e. 6 levels per film, story and free play mode with artefacts taking the place of mini-kits, finding and mailing parcels instead of red bricks. The excellent two-player drop-in drop-out mode is still there and works as good as ever. This can cause problems when exploring different parts of the screen or your co-player "accidentally" gives you a right-hander, but arguments are all forgotten when you complete the level!
You get a wide variety of characters - soldiers, diggers, mechanic, women (jump higher), thugees (mystical powers), professors (solve puzzles) and Short Round - for the tunnels! However, the vehicles aren't too exciting, old cars and bikes which you generally have to repair yourself, but obviously the game makers where limited to what was in the films which set in the 40s and 50s! Graphics are ok, Indy looks great in his hat and coat and the Raiders soundtrack is there in all its glory.
The weapon pick-ups are not brilliant (apart from the bazooka): brawling is often the more effective way to beat the enemies. Indy himself however is a great character to use - he often prefers to wrestle rather than punch which is slow but he does have the all-important whip which gets a lot of use in traversing gaps and retrieving objects. Some of the boss battles are a bit strange - the Raiders battle by the plane was plain weird. You couldn't kill him by machine-gunning from point-blank range but only by holding up an anvil for him to punch three times! Other boss battles were a bit confusing too but overall gameplay was very good.
Once you've completed the story mode, and you can repeat levels in Freeplay, things really pick up with all the necessary characters (and unnecessary ones like Santa!) at your disposal and you can go after the elusive artefacts and mail those secrets in the red mail boxes for even more unlockables. It really is great fun and well worth doing, especially if you want to get 100%. Look out for the Star Wars cameo appearances too - if you're lucky you might find yourself getting a hug off Chewbacca in the Mos Eisley Cantina! Find all five scenes and you can buy Hans Solo!
My top tips for this game are:
1) Save your money until you have completed Story mode, you can then spend it wisely in Freeplay mode. Don't waste your cash on the silly stuff or characters, save it for the "treasure x2", "treasure x4" etc (studs become worth double/quadruple their value etc) or "artefact locator". Most of the characters you will need become available for nothing once you have completed their level anyway.
2) The Bazooka Trooper is a useful character - he can blow up silver objects and doors but also has the uniform to get through army checkpoints.
3) Once you've purchased an extra, it isn't enabled by default (took me a while to sus this !). Once in the game, press Start, then Extras to toggle them on and off
4) Don't waste time struggling to get that high-up or locked up artefact in story mode, you probably won't be able to do it with the standard characters. Remember where it is and go back in Freeplay
5) The treasure bonuses work together i.e. if you enable Treasure x2 and Treasure x4 at the same time you will end up with Treasure x8 and the money (ok studs) fly in!
Very good fun, continuing from where Lego Star Wars left off but not quite as good for humour and variety overall.
Batman next. let's just hope they don't start flogging the format to death.....
PS I've reviewed the guide on amazon too
Great Game, 27 Jul 2008
Another winner from the makers of Lego Star Wars. Loads of characters to buy and puzzles to solve. My boys (9 and 7) love collecting artifacts and parcels to get powers and bonuses.
Indi-tastic!!!, 04 Jul 2008
This is money well spent!
If you liked Lego Star Wars 1 & 2 then this is for you! Buy it! Play it! Keep playing it! By Christmas you still want to play it!
You can't go wrong on a game that really does not end and on the PS2 it is superb. I was going to get a PS3 but if this is the quality still being produced in sound, graphic and game play long live the PS2!!!
Creating your own Lego game characters is great as well. I made Mutt from the new film so I can have father and son running around with whips and guns. It is so good it even looks like him! To adda British cultural twist I made a David Tennent Doctor Lego character armed with a book to help solve the puzzles! Its that good and impressive!
Enjoy this neverending fun game. Roll on Lego Indiana Jones II: The new adventures!
So humorous and fun!, 02 Jul 2008
A brilliant game for adults and kids. The saving that only allows you to save after chapters and purchases makes it frustrating to have to start levels again. Very funny clips and clever gameplay and puzzles requiring logic and thinking! Worth buying it!

Product Description
The greatest battle of the new football season is not between any real world club but between the virtual giants of FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer. Konami's game has always been the favourite but last year FIFA closed the gap to such a degree that the title race has never been closer. This year's FIFA uses a completely new game engine, for the first time built specifically for the next gen consoles. But improved graphics and animation are only the half of it, with just as much focus going on the artificial intelligence thanks to the new "35 point decision engine". What this basically means is that every player on the pitch is fully aware of those around him and constantly thinking about tactics and position when not under your control. Other changes include better modelled physics for taking a shot on goal, which take into account everything from air pressure to the angle of your foot. You're also able to create your own special moves to replicate every possible trick from real life. There are also new game modes including Be A Pro which challenges you to play the role of a single player through a whole season or career. On top of this there are revamped online leagues to play a virtual season in the Premier League, Bundesliga, French League or Mexican 1st Division against real opponents. With 620 licensed teams, 30 offline leagues and 15,000 players as well FIFA might just have made enough new signings this year to put it over the top. Harrison Dent

Worth buying it!
madden, 16 Aug 2008
the fifa games are rubbish in comparison to madden. The be a pro mode is useless as you can only do one game, whereas superstar mode on madden is much better as you can do a whole career and you just do your player. i have both fifa 08 and madden nfl 08 and i can honestly say that fifa pales in comparison. Franchise mode is 10 times better than manager mode.
Don't waste your money get madden
nothing new, 14 Aug 2008
i have been a fifa fan for all these years. i had got all the games even when my friends said i should stop buying them and get pro evo. my friends were right. i had really enjoyed the earlier ones like fifa 2003/4/5 beacause the game flow wasnt so stiff. when you changed direction it was smooth, same as all the gameplay. but since fifa 06, onwards the shot mechanics are poor, same unrealistic shot every time. when they run their arms look very stupid and you cant aim freekicks or corners with an arrow anymore. the goalpost vibration dosen't help. unlike the pro evo series where the shooting varies between what player you are. (ronaldinho will shoot like ronaldinho) and the dribbling is very smooth. i will still get the fifa games because i dont like to wait for the next football action. but i woulod reccomend the pro series.
Disappointed, 31 Jul 2008
I have to say that when I brought this game it was mainly because I was curious to see how it had succeeded Fifa 07. It doesn't. There are a few changes and a few add-ons but nothing to what I expected. It almost feels like the game has taken a step backwards. Fifa 07 I think is the best game for originality I have ever played and unfortunatly the fun factor has totally been stripped from Fifa 08. It is actually boring to play a game which lasts about 15 mintues, regardless of what game settings you have it on. I really am not surprised there are so many used copies available, (75 used today). Utter disappointment and the creators should be ashamed. Tut tut disgraceful.
i love this game, but..., 24 Jun 2008
I am a massive fan of EA games and the fifa series.Fifa 08 is one of the best games that i own,but to be honest with you,i think it's getting to the point, where EA are focusing more on the ps3 and xbox 360, as there seems to be a lot more that you can do on the newer consoles. However i still love this game, and would recommend it to anyone.
:D 5 stars
Had to buy it twice as my play keeps scratching the cd, 17 Jun 2008
Yes, it was that good i had to buy it again as my play just loves to scratch the cd, it goes into overburn.
The controls are much better than 04, but the game still lacks something. it takes ages to finish a season, transfering players could be better

Product Description
In a nutshell: The SingStar karaoke juggernaut rumbles on with a particularly generous selection of 30 new songs featuring music legends from Elton John to Nirvana and Tina Turner to Johnny Cash. The lowdown: After the rather niche Singstar Rocks and SingStar Anthems this latest expansion has a much broader song selection. The rather loose theme is that all the songs are by music legends, rather than one hit wonders, and you've got the likes of Paranoid by Black Sabbath, Life on Mars by David Bowie and Ring of Fire by Jonny Cash. As usual all the songs include the original music video (if they had one), giving visual accompaniment to classics such as The Greatest Love of All by Whitney Houston, Roxanne by The Police and Rocket Man by Elton John. Of course whether you'll still love all these golden oldies after they've been desecrated by a drunken SingStar session is another thing. Most exciting moment: The eight player, pass the microphone mode is still the best way to play SingStar and there aren't really any new game modes here to beat it. There is a new feature that lets you compare your crooning with that of the real artist though, even if the game does seem to be rather kind in most of its comparisons. Since you ask: SingStar has already been confirmed as appearing on the PlayStation 3, in fact it's was one of the first games to be demoed using the online shop, where you can download individual songs you want instead of having to buy whole expansions like this. The bottom line: One of the best SingStar expansions, with at least a few songs for everyone.-HARRISON DENT

You Rock!
Rock it on, 26 Jul 2008
I recently took grade 5 guitar exam and passed with a distinction i know this game helped me improve finger changind speed and techniques
If you play guitar buy this game
Give me back my sanity!!!!!, 25 Jul 2008
Bought this the other day for my 11 year old son (and me,when he's at school) great fun game if a little on the difficult side, but I've now got an 11 year old rock god living in my house, which as been turned into a jam pit when his mate comes round with his guitar and their both at it!The wireless guitar is notches above the old wired one and gives so much more freedom. Am now checking out al the previous versions of the game, Slash watch your back!
Another Great Addition!, 25 May 2008
This is another great addition to the singstar series and has a great selection of tracks, as listed by another reveiwer. There has to be a song for every one here young and old.
I'd only wish they would update the format as the menu's and the game modes are still the regulars with no addtions. All in all good fun!

This kareoke format for the playstation must be very good. It is the very first time i have ever used a playstation willingly and also i am finally learing how the controller works. The songs are good some are great, I hope that there will be more songs coming to practice with. I'll bet my kids wished this game was out when they were younger, i even bought a playstation to play again!
this is good!, 01 Jan 2007
There are a range of songs for both male and female voices. My advice is that of a couple of beers with a few friends and just belt out the best you can! There are no losers in this game!
One of the best in the series........., 27 Dec 2006
I have all the others in the series of Singstars, and I think this is one of the best, if not the best. There is a nice range of fast and slow tracks, all easily recognizable, and worthy of legendary status.
The good thing is, it also means that friends and family of a certain age can join in with this one, as they know the songs!!
Rumour is, Singstar for the Playstation 3 will be downloadable, so make use of these on discs while you can!
Recommended!!
Love it!, 31 Oct 2006
Got it on Friday when it came out and I think it could be the best so far (even better than 80's!!). Makes up for a disappointing Anthems. I know all the songs and like most of them. I would definitely recommend getting it.
Another Winner!!!!, 28 Oct 2006
I really enjoyed playing Singstar Legends. The songs on it are really good, I especially like 'Park Life' and 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'. Probably not as good as the 80's one but I would still recommend it as one of the better Singstars to buy. A big thumbs up!

Product Description
PES 2008 features a brand new intelligence system, called Teamvision, that adapts and reacts to players own gameplay styles to ensure that the computer controlled opponents are always challenging and forcing the player to think and chance their style of play to avoid being out-thought by the game. It will learn counter attacks that target your weaknesses and look to exploit any repetitive tactics players use. Defenders react better to danger, closing down the ball and charging at shots and the goalkeepers will hold shots that are closer to them as well. Teammates will make more intelligent runs into space and the close control has been sharpened to ensure quick and fluid passing and speedy attacks can be built.

Worth buying it!
madden, 16 Aug 2008
the fifa games are rubbish in comparison to madden.
Singstar Legends, 08 Jan 2007
Not much fun, 15 Aug 2008
This game is not bad, just not a lot a fun to play. I'm sure it's a very faithful football sim, but only if you've learned eveything you know about football from Chelsea a couple of years ago and the old Arsenal.
I'd advise to stick to Pro-Evo 6 or if you have a Wii, go for Wii Pro-Evo '08. It re-introduces things like fun and a feeling of control to the series.
All in all, solid but dull.
A bit disappointed, 05 Jul 2008
I'm quite disappointed of this version of Pro Evo, I thought this will have better graphics and game play, but I was totally let down. Pro Evo 8's game play is, more or less, the same as Pro Evo 6. This game is only worth buying if you want updated team members for club, country, etc. That's about it. The graphics hasn't been improved at all.
I'm not too bothered with the new sets of menus and music that everyone is getting annoyed of. I guess the reason why this game is so expensive at the moment is because of the new graphical menus they have introduced to game, rather than improving the the game play and the actual graphics of the game.
PES and PS2 do not mix!, 19 Jun 2008
I have been a fan of pro evo since PRO EVO 1 and i'm sorry but all those so-called football gamers who praise this game must be either blind or had enough of FIFA. I would much rather play FIFA than this garbage!
There are more international teams and crowd chants are more responsive....but thats about it!
The overall interface of the game is exactly the same as PES 5 and 6, they could have designed it a bit differently rather than just changing the colour to a dull blue.
The menu music is incredibly ANNOYING that i have decided to mute the sound on my tv. What is the point in changing the music when there are more important aspects to ammend such as i dunno....THE WHOLE GAME!
Referees are 100% biased towards the COM. Passing and movement of the ball is shockingly slow. This game has NO ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE and if i knew this before i paid 30 quid of my hard earned money then i wouldn't have even gave it a second look!
KONAMI NEED TO WAKE UP AND FAST!
Disappointing Rehash, 18 Jun 2008
Upgrading from PES5, i expected some significant gameplay developments, better graphics, interface and music.
No.
Same music. same interface.
Worse graphics in game menus and no improvement in the game itself, either players, backgrounds or close-ups.
Even more annoyingly, the player names are old in CAPS. Why?
The gameplay has some minor improvements, and the Computer actually gets booked occasionally now, but it's still full of minor niggles and frustrations.
If i hadn't paid money for this, i'd have given up and gone back to PES5.
I still prefer it to FIFA, but it's no significant improvement on ISS, let alone PES5 &6.
My advice is: "Only buy this title if you do not own any PES titles."
Second to none, 24 May 2008
I take it all the bad reviews are from fifa nuts, pass pass shoot GOAL! Just remember people, all the plus points from fifa have been stolen from the pro eve series.
OK, so the music during build up is crap and you cant play as Swansea or Colchester. Who gives a damn? One thing I love about the pro eve game is the "register player" feature listed under "edit" mode. Here you can keep up to date with all the transfers as and when they happen. My liverpool side now has Degen and Schwarzer now plays at Fulham. And as for exciting, realistic gameplay, theres only one winner !!

You Rock!
